About GeekDeal Digest
Deals you can trust, or no deal at all.
What we cover
GeekDeal Digest tracks prices and publishes buying advice on PC hardware, gaming gear, consumer technology and geek culture — for readers in the United States.
We are not a general deals site. We do not cover groceries, mattresses or airline tickets. If it does not plug in, run a game, or sit on a desk next to something that does, it is not our beat.
How verification works
Every deal on GeekDeal Digest comes from an automated pipeline that runs every 6 hours:
- Collection from the store's own public feed. We read prices directly from each retailer's public feed — the same data the store publishes about its own products.
- Comparison against the store's list price. The pipeline compares the offer price to the list price reported by the same store to decide whether the discount is real.
- Discard without a reliable baseline. If the feed doesn't provide a trustworthy list price, the deal is discarded instead of guessed. We never invent a "was" price.
- Timestamp of the check. Every card shows the exact time the price was checked — it updates as the pipeline runs, so you always know how fresh the number is.
We never run a fake countdown, and we don't claim to open the retailer's page or check stock.
How we make money
GeekDeal Digest is funded by affiliate commissions. When you click a store link and buy something, the store pays us a percentage of the sale. You pay exactly the same price — the commission comes out of the store's margin, never out of your pocket.
There is no paywall, no subscription, and no paid placement in the deals feed. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be labelled at the top of the piece and kept out of the deals feed.

Editorial independence
Affiliate relationships never determine what we cover, how we order it, or what we say about it. The default sort on the deals page is Recently verified — never commission rate.
If a product is a bad buy at its current price, we say so. A commission we do not earn is cheaper than a reader we lose.
Who this is for
People who buy deliberately. If you want the cheapest thing on the page regardless of whether it is any good, there are faster sites. If you want to know whether the discount is real and whether the product is worth owning, that is what we are for.
What we do not do
- We do not invent a "was" price to make a discount look bigger.
- We do not run countdown timers designed to rush you.
- We do not claim to have physically tested a product unless we state it explicitly.
- We do not sell your data.
